I was givin a 400sb awhile back, said to be out of a 79 van. It was out of the van i saw that van and i saw them take it out. I didnt pay too much attention, just ran the casting number... anyone want a 305? DOH! now im searchin for i dont know what motor now.

Guess i can still attempt for the 400sb but im not sure that now i dont got one i can buy a motor and get some decent gas mileage.
I am really liking my LT1, thinkin a 383 or even 396 LT1 might be fun, im not sure yet, im sure they would be a lil better driveabililtly then a carb'd 406, but... what you guys think? stay with the 400 or match myself up a lt1 6speed, buy it and stroke it?

BLAH

Yeah you can't trust what anyone says these days. Always check the casting numbers. I got a complete 400sbc sitting in my garage right now and everything has a price.

well the block was free, it was just sittin in my friends dads garage so i took it so im really not out anythin just a lil crappy. So should i look for another 400sb? or just go with a easier to get lt1 with a 6speed already bolted on to it
