So I replaced the ac pump on the 1ton cause the case was cracked. I figured since this was a complete fill from nothing job I would spring and get the fancy Interdynamics manifold gauge set (MF134). Has anyone used these?
I couldnt get it to take any oil, or freon thru this setup. First it flat wouldnt puncture the can with the cheap ass setup they have. I put a different piercing system. Still wouldnt take. Anyone here have tips on this thing?
I went old-school and just used a basic hose and got it to take the other can of oil, and 2 cans of freon(24oz). Still not kicking the compressor on itself (I can manul kick it on). I know the truck requires 36oz. Is 24 to 36 a big enough difference to make that happen?
I know at 24oz and manual override, no females are gonna want to ride in that thing _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

| R134 is very sensitive to the amount it requires. I've got professional machines at work, but dad has a gauge set. I remember having to open or close the valves in a way that didnt make any sense to me at the time. Otherwise nothing happened. |
