The other day I was driving over to my girlfriend's house (anyone familiar with the area it's on the way to Port Orchard down in purdy), was running through an intersection and notived up ahead coming at me was another red 91-92 bird. A somewhat rare site around here I was going to give the guy a thumbs up. As I passed it I noticed some small imperfections and such (bra, differents colors, etc) but in decent shape. And then I noticed it was a vert as well! Basically my base model twin! I caught a glimpse of the driver and he looked to be smiling and gave me a wave.

I don't often see 3rdgens around here at all let alone in bad/good condition. It was kind of cool to another car just like mine. Everyone around here has some sort of 4 banger or jacked up truck. I feel like an outcast in the local group of kids.

I would've gotten pictures but I was in a hurry.

Incidentally, has anyone hooked up an aftermarket oil pressure guage and kept the stock one working as well? I just had a pretty large leaky problem today and was wondering if anyone kept the stock guage. I thought on the later cars that the oil pressure sending unit acted as a fuel pump shutoff? Mine seems to turn it on (even if the car is off)

Whew... just bored at 430am; felt like typing.

I'm always looking at late model Firebird verts, the styling is timeless and no doubt bound for classic status.

Since Fall is here I was thinking about the Mt Baker route for a final cruise before the snow gets here.

The power out from the oil switch is spliced into the power out wire from the relay. If the relay fails, the fuel pump is powered by the switch, assuming 4 psi oil pressure.

From reading the boards this is what I understand.

Im thinking that sharing the same sender with two gauges may give you half the reading in each gauge.

I had put a T in awhile back and was running the stock sender and the aftermarket one for the last few months and it seemed to be reading correctly. After I put in just the aftermarket sending unit yesterday I figured it wouldn't start since I had the stock one disconnected from it's harness. Nope, it starts. I jumpered the two farthest pins on the harness side and the pump turns on regardless if the key is in the on position. Weird.

I'd love to go on a last cruise. Grab a thick coat and some gloves and drop the top a final time this year. Very Happy
