Thanks! yeah I've been looking for a little 4 cylinder pickup to run me back and forth to school, even though it's a 4.3 I couldn't pass it up. |

Normally I would be with you there, but I think I'll happy to have the auto, that way I can mix it up so I don't get sick of shifting. lol And it looks like this 700R4 is new.. Or atleast new to this truck. |

Yeah. lol I know these 4.3's don't get much better mileage than a 350 but atleast it's a light truck. Anyone know what these get for fuel economy? |

i think an combo of meguiars ultimate compound, swirlx, scratch x 2.0, colorx, deep crystal polish, and nxt gen 2.0 would make that girl look BETTER THEN NEW! i say the above would be an killer combo |

with the 700, I'd expect between 16-18 city and maybe as good as 24 hwy. _________________

If you want mileage, find yourself a 60* and a T5. If you want some semblance of pulling power, then keep the 90*. I think Chris' mileage estimate might be a bit high, but it's a 2wd, and a short box/short bed.
With a 3.1L, nwc T5 and a 4brl I was getting 17 city 22-24 hwy. Multiport would have gotten even better. |

Well so much for that I guess. that website Paul posted said 16/22. Thats exactly what the firebird gets with two more cylinders lol.
Atleast it'll take the winter beating while the Formula can chill in the garage.
Atleast I got it thru DEQ today, took two tries since it was high on CO's. The HC's were well in the limit. Makes me wonder if it's getting enough fuel. _________________

Too bad you're not farther north, I'm finishing up a 4-cyl S-10 with a manual. Should be done this weekend. |
