				| Last weekend I spotted a really clean IROC parked on a guys lawn near downtown Snohomish. It looked like it had been there for a couple of months so I stopped in and talked to the owners mom. Tonight I stopped by and talked to the owner, well, brother of the deceast owner.
The car has 44K original miles and has been in a garage up untill two months ago. It is an 86 IROC, 305 5 speed, dark blue ( just like both of mine) with black interior. The owner bought it new and rarely drove it. It shows, the only cosmetic problem I noticed was one dent in the drivers door. The interior looks brand new. The GoodYear Gatorback tires in good shape also. The owner passed away two months ago. The owners brother said it needs a clutch. The engine compartment looks mint also ( pulled a birds nest out of it) but it is not a TPI, has carb.

I told my wife about the car and she said " No F%$&*ng way, no more IROC's" . The guy that has the car has to talk to his other brother before he can sell it.

I wont be buying it, so anyone else interested in it?

				| I dont know yet, the guy is supposed to get back to me by Tuesday. I am guessing that you could pick it up for somewere between 1K - 2K. I told the guy if he lets it sit ouside for a year ( he doesnt have a garage) it would only be worth 500.00 and that he would be kicking himself for not selling it sooner. | |

$32 isn't enough to buy a car last time I checked.

				| Well it guess it was just a tease. The younger brother called me last night and said his older brother has no intention of selling it. It's just sad, they dont have a garage to store it in or any intention of putting a car cover on it. It's just going to rot away.
I asked him to put my card in the glove box. If was a gambling man I would bet that in 1 - 3 years years from now he calls me back. By then the interior, paint and rubber will be trashed and there will be rust in the floor pan.

				| Hey now, don't make fun. Towing stuff with a half-ton gasser Mopar is totally a good idea. So is towing anything long-distance with a snatch strap. And Dukes of Hazard was a quality TV show, and not stupid at all.
Also, can I have some sprinkles?

I have done all of the above... Does that make me dumb?

Towed long-distance a few times with my parent's Durango R/T with tow package and car trailer. Nothing wrong with that.

Towed a car over 20 miles with two 3 foot straps tied together for extra length at 40+ mph at night. It was an emergency and the POS Subaru I rescued and resurrected seized the motor on my way home. This one I am ashamed of but sometimes you do what you gotta do to get the car home.

I liked watching Dukes of Hazzard every once in a while cause it's so silly and yet so awesome. Given that, I do not watch it anymore because it's so repetitive and silly.

But I still see where you're coming from. Kid needs to think more before he opens his mouth, but that's part of being young. I like sprinkles.
