Came by UPS yesterday
I loaded the software onto my netbook to have a look at the various screens. This looks to be quite easy to use, but I could be wrong. Comes with several stock bins to get started. I hope to have it installed on my ECM sometime next week - I have some maintenance to do on the V6 before I take the ECM out of the 89. _________________ 92 Camaro

The option I chose (self install) was $350 plus shipping ($10).
There's even an option to upgrade to a 4 injector throttle body, or dual throttle bodies for the TBI. But that's a mod to the ECM itself, or so I understand from the website.

If it works out, I may even get one with the MPFI option for the V6 |

I checked out the DynamicEFI website. That thing is pretty cool and it seems like converting it for use with MPFI and TPI would be pretty simple. I might have to think about picking one up myself. Or perhaps I'll see what kind of luck you have with it first, Al. |

I pulled the ECM today and did the mod to the case. Tomorrow, I'll do the board swap at work (on my own time ) Looks like my calpack is soldered to the board and not in a socket, so I'll have to unsolder that and stick it in the EBL borad's socket. |

Here's the modded case, note the end is now gone and the new cover piece sitting on top. The RJ12 jack on the new board lines up with the square hole in the end of the cover.
I'll try to get a couple more tomorrow as I do the swap. |

i was lookin into this setup, if you end up liking it let me know, by the time my wallet recovers from the tranny and engine swap im working on im sure youll have a good review built up lol, this can be set on TPI's correct? Ive heard mixed reviews on it but the naysayers were all LS1Edit fanatics... imagine that right? _________________ If you expect a kick to the balls and get a slap to the face its still a victory

The board swap was pretty straight-forward. The only challenge I had was desoldering the cal-pack and removing it without bending its pins (it's supposed to be in a socket on the stock board).
Here, cal-pack has been moved to the EBL board, it sits in the socket on the right side of the board.
Stock board is removed and the ribbon cable cleaned up and ready for the EBL board.
And the finished product, minus the new end cover.
Once installed, my car started right up, before even flashing the bin to the board. The VE learn function is pretty nifty, but I still need to get into the other aspects of tuning with this. Already seems much easier to use than Flash-N-Burn. |

I got some great tools at work See that big base sitting behind the ECM in the pics? Thats the support for a microscope to work under Probably can't do anyone else's stuff there though Kinda not cool to use company tools to do personal projects. |
