That place with the garages didn't work out unfortunately.

So.....I take it the two of you wouldn't be interested in buying the stylish wheels that are on the car????? How about the Scheel driver's seat? Wink

By the way, is that some sort of poorly planned exhaust poking out from in front of the rear driver's tire?

I like those wheels! Never seen anything like them before. Almost a "Back to the Future" look about them.

Not sure about the exhaust................guess it's what's left of a former system.

So...the wheels are for sale, and almost....and I said almost everything else on the car except a couple of "minor" exceptions.

Guess I should let you all in on the best part.............have had some fun with it now......................so here is why I bought it (see pics) Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Also has the ultra rare 82 sill plates in black and in great condition. And after I pull all I want off it, they will come pick it up and give me $129!!

I'm liking this a lot Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Thinks she's worth $500 now?? Can you say ford 9" for $500??? And a solid panhard bar with rod ends???

And it's even the right color right Mike???

Wheels sold to Dewey for $500. Can deliver them on friday Very Happy

So now a few things to figure out, can I use my stock aluminum drive shaft with a conversion u-joint, and as of now have no idea of the ratio in the rear. If you look closely you can see tow bar brackets on the front of the car, so I'm hoping it has a decent ratio and hopefully a posi. But for $500 there is no way I can go wrong on this deal.

And when I get this in my car, I'll have my 3.73 10 bolt with an Eaton posi for sale. So.....start saving your pennies and dimes people Wink

Hmm... last car I bought for $500 had one of those small-tube 9-inchers in it too. Must be a thing with that. Shrug

Now you just gotta figure out how to mount the big brakes in place of those drums.

I will be selling the 10 bolt, just need to get this one in my car.

There are a lot of unknowns yet about the 9". The drive shaft, how to get my disk brakes on it, and the ratio and if it has a posi.

So it's not going to happen tomorrow, just letting everyone know it will be for sale at a later date.

That torque arm scares the sh1T out of me.

Sure it's a 9" and not 8.8? If you can get to all the dropout bolts with a socket it's an 8.8". The 9" has two nuts on the bottom that you HAVE to use a box wrench.

Pretty sure it's a 9. Got a 9 for my 55. And even if it is an 8, still stronger than my 10 is. Can't go wrong for 5 bills either way. Hopefully someone (Dewey) Wink will buy the wheels and I'll be in it for less than $300 with what they are giving me for the carcass.

Yeah, that arm sucks, I'm not going to use it.........scrap metal as far as I'm concerned unless someone here wants it for free. I have my Spohn arm that should bolt on. The TA bracket on it is a Currie setup, so probably a Currie housing I'm guessing.

The one mystery is the little hollow brackets on the back LCA mounts, (2nd pic) Has them on both sides. Can't really figure out what they would be used for.

8.8 Has a removable diff cover. I think you mean a 8" which was the 9's little brother.

You're right. 8".

LCA points look like something added to be jackstand points. I don't think the currie housing has those. Makes me think it was a home deal... that I would be leary of because of that torque arm.

"So 80's it hurts" is a good thing. If I had the right car to put them on I'd be buying those wheels so fast. I'm thinking slammed S10 with an LSx/4L60E and those wheels... Some sort of orange and red stripey paint job. That would be a cruiser right there. 80's style, modern power. Wink

I always have these ideas that seem really good in my head. Maybe I should just keep them in there... Embarassed
