Check out what came today...

Fedex actually delivered it.. last time a package rode around in their truck 10 days before they dropped it off. This time it was supposed to require a signature... yet they left it on the porch with no one home. Shocked

And of course.. can't let anything set around too long.. Here it is on allready!

YES that is a freakin RED Edelcrap tag too. But thats not why it seems to run smoother, and have more upper end.. I hope... Embarassed

Its a 795cfm edelbrock performer quadrajet. WITH an electric choke. Everything fit perfectly.

I was thinking about getting one of those to replace my stock Quadrapuke. Of course, if Ian would ever get back to me regarding his old TPI stuff, I might not need one. Wink

That sure is purty boy.

Cool

Glad that it went so smoothly for you B. Hopefully that choke will work a bit better for you.

Damn dude; I'm so bad about getting back to people. Call me on your next day off(253-312-0407=cell); I work until 5 or so with sporatic days off and have class tues and thurs. When's your next day off you can come over and take a look to see what all you'll need tpi-wise.

See, the 327 runs better with RED now doesn't it?! Laughing

Going to have to tell John about this, if I end up helping him with assembly, he'll atleast get a red timing tab!

Well, today is my day off (tomorrow too) but I am sick as a dog right now. I probably won't be going anywhere soon. Ewwwww Sad

Glad to report that the car runs sooo much smoother now. Really didnt think there was much wrong with the old quad except for the antique divorced choke. But something is definately much different. Still havent adjusted anything except the fast idle yet. I know the idle mixture is off just a bit, but I need to bring the tool home from work to adjust it. Mileage seems to be up too, as the tank still reads full after filling up in longview and driving home last night. So thumbs up to the edle quad!
