so after having this thing towed around Gig Harbor numerous times to different shops...well its back at my house, running a lot better, it was something to do with timing, so im fine tuning the timing now, i almost got it!! got a new map sensor( one for a v8 lol)and VSS sensor and TV and accelerator cables are on the way. also got tranny fluid and a new filter and gasket.
i looked at my book and it said 700r4's take 5 quarts excluding the Torque converter, should i just put in 5 after i dump the stuff in it now or should i do 4 and slowly add and check putting the 5th in? |

Good deal Luke. Was the distributor stabbed wrong? I seem to recall timing it to around 6*btdc.

Measure how much comes out.
Honestly though, if you've got a working 700R4, I'd go around that thing like a stack of cards. No fluid flush. |
