I think my neighbors hate me.
There is a couple 20ish girls living across the street from me and I guess they were drinking and its pretty sad that they thought they were sober enough to drive yet only made it straight across the street.
The phone rings at 2:18 AM, I get up and answer the phone and I was not really paying attention because I figured it was the morning already. I hear "blah blab blah hit your car blah blah blah." I screamed " WHAT?!?!!" it took me a second to process what was happening.
My other neighbor somehow saw this hit-and-run of my car at 2 in the morning and had already told the other neighbor that he knew what happened!
He called me right back, (I had time to throw my shoes on and grab my [eagle scout] spring loaded pocket knife[machete ]). He is a pretty calm dude and said they were drinking and had some guys over. I agreed to go talk to them in the morning because A drunk male defending a [guilty] even drunker female would of really pissed me off!
I am pretty pissed, especially about the running part. I am also calm because I know I'll be repaid somehow and I have collected all the equipment necessary to do all body work and paint it this summer!! _________________ -Donald

God wants you to sell your Pontiacs and buy a Camaro.
If these girls are young, they're probably still on their parents ins. If so, make a big claim. Can also call in for the hit-and-run if you're so inclined, but if it's in Tacoma (and not Pierce County Sheriff) good luck even getting a cop to show up, much less do anything |

Yeah, I'd report the hit and run, people need to learn that's not okay. I've had a couple of my parked cars hit and run. It really sucks. 66 Dart, I watched the guy hit it, he saw me, and took off, couldn't get his plates, so I was just out the damage. Fortunately I had 2 '66's at that time that were in 1 piece. _________________ 1986 Camaro Z-28 IROC-Z 350 swap |

I am going to get estimates as soon as I can to give to them!
Bad pics and dirty, but tomorrow I will take better ones!
(the pics show a dented rear-quarter and door)
and that is where a red blazer's bumper will hit a 3rd gen.
And my transmission is pretty much out. _________________ -Donald

That ain't just a love tap. I am thinking it isn't going to be cheap, since there is rear quarter damage.
Best of luck man, I hope it gets made right for you. |

It will get fixed, I learned that you can not be the nice guy and let someone slowly pay you off.
But the good thing is, my other neighbor was already awake because of how loud they were so they saw everything.. A drunken hit and run.
And I know where they live and where THEIR cars are parked. _________________ -Donald

I have been talking to this girl since it happened and she has been "wanting to fix it" the whole time..
Today her and her mom came over and by Friday they will tell me if they are going to put it on a credit card or insurance.
I am happy that I was able to talk to her mom because parents usually don't lie as much as teenage girls.
Haha, her mom said "this is not the first time I've had to bail her out."
I am going to try to take the estimate and talk to the body guys about me pulling out the dents and the estimated price going towards painting the whole car.... Either way I am pretty sure I will get the whole thing painted!
I have been collecting the tools and supplies to paint this car since November! So I would easily be able to put a new door on and pull the dents out _________________ -Donald

You're still young. You'll learn.
That news does sound promising, but remember that if you have it in writing it's only worth a judgement at the end of a lawsuit, nothing more. And if you don't have it in writing it ain't even worth that. |
