Need more information on the motor and specific heads. Deck Height, Bore, Chamber size, piston CC etc. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

If you have factory dished pistons it would probably be an ok match. Flat tops you'll probably have too much compression without some work to the heads. |

I would not install 305 heads on any 350. My wifes car has this settup, it makes good tourqe until 3K then falls on it's face. Spend another 500.00 and pick up a decent set of 350 heads. It will be money well spent. |

Really depends on the heads and cam and heads that WERE on there.
Seen lots of 70's low compression smog motors wake up with a 305 head. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

The minor bump in compression is not worth the loss of flow that the tiny 305 valves provide. Spend the dough and at a minimum, use a set of L98 cast iron heads. Keep in mind you can pick up a set of superior alluminum after market heads that flow well for 500.00 or less. See my post regarding trading a used set of TrickFlows for a SR. No need to cheap out on a decent set of heads nowadays. |
