Thought I'd drop in quickly and say Hi! I haven't been doing anything car related in quite awhile, since real life has had a way to keep me quite busy. We've been hoping to pull Blue out of the garage on the 1st of next month and hit the local cruise-in at Surburban Chevrolet, but I just pulled the cover off for the first time in over 2 years, fired it up, and while warming up the radiator burst. Not sure I'll have the time or money to fix it up by then, since my house has a tendency to take both.

Ya, too long!

Where to start...

Well, I've been married now for over 4 years. We got married at the rim of the Grand Canyon, with her grandfather performing the ceremony.

We bought some acreage along the Sandy River just under 5 years ago, and have really enjoyed living out here. We were hoping to have replaced the @#$%! double-wide by now with a proper house (we have the plans and everything), but the economy put a huge damper on that for awhile. Unfortunately I'm now stuck pouring money into the thing, which I was hoping to avoid. We bought the property out of foreclosure, and it had been very badly neglected and overgrown for a long time (except the buildings which vary between ok and pretty nice). Been kind of fun reshaping everything, and I have a long ways to go. There are still overgrown areas on my property I haven't walked on yet.

I have most of the parts for a 50 x 60 pole barn, and hope to get that up within the next year or so if I can get the money together for the concrete floor. Be nice to have a larger space for storing the Camaros, Nova, Hurst/Olds, and so forth, and being able to work on them easier.

My 14 year old nephew is living with us and is a freshman at Sandy High. We've decided to give him my orange '88 IROC if he keeps his grades up. He is looking forward to getting his permit this summer Shocked

Other than that it has been mainly work, work, work, with a bit of hunting, camping, and kayaking thrown in.
