Where to? Mt. St. Helens of course! It's our last chance to see it before it changes shape again, and if we time it just right, we could get the most awesome group picture background EVER (if it is erupting)! |

Umm, I didn't think anyone would take it as a serious suggestion.
If we do it, it better be sometime soon, since weather up there is going to deteriorate as fall sets in, and the mountain is rumbling more every day. How about Saturday the 15th or Sunday the 16th? That is far enough away to allow for some planning/organizing and is before winter sets in. We should still be able to get all the way to Johnston Ridge at that time of year without getting into snow or ice.
If that is too far away or the Mt really starts going nuts, maybe Sunday the 10th? It's the day after the planned Crew PDX dinner, so if anyone is coming from outside PDX they could make a weekend out of it if they have a place to crash. |

Sounds good, it's far enough away that I can request it off work too (yes it's too late to get Sat night off, but I can get Sun off... damn, safeway sucks like a ford)
Mike and Paul, you guys gonna have your engines/etc together in time for the 10th? |

Here's hoping :crosses fingers:
I 'may' be heading up to Ocean Shores that weekend but if not I would love to make a fall cruise. One of the other local camaro clubs does an annual Fall Colors Run and take scenic cruises - usually to destinations that have pretty leaves and such.
BTW - We have done the run several times so I am not suggesting it but anyone who does like to see the fall colors will find that the Old Columbia Highway (up by Multnomah Falls) is gorgeous. (pun unintentional)

Well.. This would be a great Idea... But they're Saying the mountain will have a "Significant" Eruption in the next 24-48 hours (This was said yesterday) So.. you might miss some of the mountain if you go up on the 10th Im looking forward to a nice eruption. They say lava too. |

I don't know for sure who's going. I can't go after all, since I didn't get the day off work even though I requested it. The other PIC at my store is on vacation this week so I couldn't get my schedule switched around.
Since we haven't gotten it organized very well yet maybe delay it till next Sunday? That'll let us figure out who's going, where and when to meet up, etc.
Watcha think? |

Well, you guys go and have fun, I won't be able to go again. My asst mgr is on maternity leave for 6 weeks and my head clerk will be gone for 2 weeks, so I will be a busy Safeway slave for a while.
If you guys go, be sure to take lots of pics! |

When you available on sunday? | I used to be able to get time off whenever, but now that I am a PIC, it's been tough. The other PIC teaches sunday school so I work most every sunday. We just need another PIC or two at my store.
I have to be at work by 5pm on Sunday, so I would have to be back home by 4pm at the latest to have time to get ready and go. We would have to leave pretty darn early for me to pull that off. |
