look at the link. the price $187 dollars but you get a $75 dollar rebate so after the rebate its $112. that isnt to bad of a price in my book for which seems like a decent exhuast. who has this exhuast? what does it sound like? do you think this is a ok system to buy tell i can afford a magnaflow or borla? i know it doesnt come with a cat or tips but i already have those is there anything else that the kits missing compared to a higher priced kit? so worth it or not?? i know its not a HUGE improvment over the stock exhuast but anything is better then what i got on mine, an rusty, dented exhuast system. hell i got a new replacment soundmaster muffler i could use instead if the turbo one isnt what i like as long as it fits.
heres another kit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-17495/ |

Basically this is a stock replacement style exhaust.
I had a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler on my 2.8L Camaro years ago. It sounded good.
Better to weld than to use those stupid clamps. They have never worked right for me. It doesn't need tips, the output pipes are angled down and angle cut.
Might have to hang the rear end really low and unbolt the shocks to get the old out and new in.
First one is for a 2.5 inch catalytic converter output, second one is slightly more expensive and for a 3 inch cat output. You would need the second one because your car is TPI. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Horseshoe clamps = junk.
If you're not going to get it welded, at least use band clamps. Problem is by the time you buy enough band clamps, you could have just taken it down to the local muffler shop and had it done right. |

thanks do you think there would really be a diffrence in power/sound? i think i might stick to what i have now and save for a magnaflow since i already have a replacment muffler. |

Aaron's got the idea there.
Louder, maybe a little tiny bit more power, but not much. My 2.8 felt like a whole new car, but that's because the stock cat was plugged beyond belief and I replaced it with a pipe. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

You will have to shop around for pricing in your local area.
Expect to pay for one to two hours of welder labor (70-200) depending on what you want done, how easy the kit is, and how pissed the shop manager is that he didn't make the sale on the parts. |

ok evermind thats more then the kit and i dont think its worth it. hell i think it would be better to buy a small welder for a bit more then having someone else do it. the magnaflow kit wont need welding or new clamps will it? |

This one Steve (DirtySteve) took Saturday at the dyno. This is up to about 4500 RPM in 4th gear. You get a different sound loaded (in gear and rolling) than revving the motor at idle. Don't get me wrong, those do sound pretty good, but they'll sound different on the road, better or worse - who knows. I've got nothing special on mine, just the muffler shop special Pro Flow and a 3" Walker high flow cat.
