How was everyone's holiday weekend?
Went fishin' thursday. Didn't catch anything.
Friday had a short day at work.
Saturday Did a little junk yardin.
Today I did a little more junk yardin and ended up with a 3.5" lift for the cherokee for under $100! Put it on too! Few odds and ends to wrap up, and some larger tires to get, but it should make a good wheeler now! There were two kits in the yard. The other kit had stiffer springs and lower control arms. Two guys 100 paces ahead of me walking out to the yard, they took the last wheel barrow and made a bee-line for it. Bastards. So I got stuck with the less cool one that happened to be over a lake in the yard lol. Oh well. Turned out well in the end. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away!

Had all week off. Ordered a re-upholstery kit from Hawk's on Wednesday and started breaking down the old stock seats. Now just waiting for the kit to arrive. Installed new fan temperature switch yesterday as well a new air dam from GM Parts Direct. Also have a set of new outer window sweeps to install on the purple 92. _________________ 92 Camaro

I had Thursday off (well, i have every thursday off). Drove the Camaro down to Eugene for the family get together.
Pretty much hung out with the family, ate lots of great food, then left to head back to Portland at about midnight.
Spent the rest of the weekend at work.
Cool on the lift kit! We need to make sure we do a camping trip come spring/summer time. We really blew it by not planning one. |

Awesome on the lift! I've been workin on the 400. Seems like most of the time I'm spending rounding up the right tools or bits. But its getting closer. I finally managed to extract a broken stainless bolt in my new block. That thing ate most of my new cobalt bits, alot of my ziroconiums, and some of my titaniums. Plus it broke a snapon easy out. It also laughed at my blow torch. I finally ended up basicaly drilling around the whole thing til it fell out, then putting in a large thread insert.
Today I went to pull the galley plugs, pulled the front 2 soft plug type.. and the oil galleys are completely filled with a powdery ash left over from the hot tank. So I go to pull the rear plugs and they're screw in.. with a 5/16 female square hole... ya.. nobody has a tool for that!
Some simple things really hold you up. I figure that broken stainless bolt ended up costing me around $50! |

Should have taken the $50 and fixed your welder. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

You obviously havent tried to use the Lincoln online catalog. It is the strangest thing i've ever seen.. you look something up, then use a table, to look it up again.. and then back to the table..
And to top it off, my welder is ancient, and the part has been revised several times. I'm thinking it may be easiest to haul the whole thing in.. or just replace it. |

Supposed to be a 4 day weekend. Worked between 6-9 hours each day.
Oh well. Happens sometimes.
Still managed to pig out on Thanksgiving. 7 AM meetings each day kinda blows though.

Thursday off. Pigged out with family and some old war vet neighbors who has stories for hours. Showed me some pictures of the Bentley car collection he's selling off for his dad. Worked full shifts friday and saturday. Absolutely dead both days. Big surprise. Today was putting up lights and also setting up a tank for my new Bearded Dragon. _________________

Hung out for 4 days...very nice!
Fixed and ate all sorts of food, had some relatives down to pig-out as well
I also did a deep fry turkey along with the oven bird...turned out spectacular!
My niece brought these home made pumpkin bars with frosting stuff...
couldn't shovel enough of that stuff! The relatives brought some great
fixins with them...Good!
friday the wife worked...so I hung out and did ZIP...it was nice!
Alright so after the relatives left I cleaned the house up!
Saturday I took the car for a cruise...oh it was awesome!
I so dig the new wheel...just perfect
I put on umpteen extra freaking pounds too...sucks, clothes still fit,
but the scale moved UP! _________________

4 day weekend for me. Got quite lazy and ended up getting sick from being inside and bored.
Few data longs and re-tunes on the car.( I think it was more powerful with the truck heads )
Did some mods on a 99 Ram
Worked on 2 of my other hobbies
Lots of time spent organizing and deleting crap on the pc.
Watched a few movies.
Sorted out some of my scrap metal to take in SOON.
NOOOO SHOPPING!!!!
Today I picked up 3 18x7.5" rims for free. Wondering if they will fit the gtp, or If I need to sell them. _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

Finished the work on the T56, and "finally" got the hatch pull down in parts for Daisy (took 18 days to get them from TDS) and got that together and adjusted. Works sweeeeet! Found a white drivers door on Sunday, manual windows though, so have to convert it to power windows and power mirror. Also need to put a new starter in Daisy, the one in there now really drags and drains the battery quickly. I'm hoping to get at least these two things done this week. Things are really adding up on me and after this week I really don't think I'll be doing very much for a long time. _________________ Member of the "Elite T56 Club" , big brake club, and "burgundy" (not red or maroon) car owner.
