How strict are they? Planning on taking the Trans Am through emissions and registering it tomorrow. Everything on the Trans Am is stock, all the smog equipment is there, but the smog pump belt is off. Just curious how thorough of an inspection they do up here.
I've gotten all sorts of crap through emissions in Arizona with no smog equipment. A little bit of denatured alcohol does wonders for cars that shouldn't actually be passing emissions, and luckily in Arizona they're pretty lazy and don't really check for anything as long as it passes the sniffer. |

Sounds like what we have up here. There is no visual inspection. Just idle and roller checks for Hydrocarbons, and CO. There are a great many stories on here about car getting past that should not have.
With a working cat and a good tune you should be fine. |

| In WA there is no NOX check is there? THat at least makes getting the car to pass a little easier. |

I just passed emissions today.
Almost half the requireds, all across the board.
The lady was kind of pissed about the exhaust location though. _________________

you city folk and your silly emissions checks out here in the sticks, as long as the check clears the bank you're golden. No emissions check at all. Of course I did hear dueling banjos on the radio once. Really I did. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

so are you saying there will be a cows 2010?
I wasn't around in 08 and 09 of course was the non-event, so folks want to know whether cows '10 is even in the realm of possibility. not trying to nail down dates or anything, just wondering is all. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

Emissions? Haven't ever had to do that. While in the Navy and stationed in California, and those other places that have emission checks, my car was registered in Michigan - not required. Now with Washington plates, Kitsap county doesn't require emissions checks, My 89 probably wouldn't pass, but I'm sure the 92 V6 will. _________________ 92 Camaro

I've noticed threads get hi-jacked quickly around here. _________________ 91 Z28 |

well we all contribute something.
Dewey provides the bandwidth.
Twilight and chevymad provide all sorts of technical assistance
Kurfbird is a walking talking parts store.
brandy provides the punisher
schultzy provides a hood big enough all of us to hide under.
And I provide absolutely nothing at all. Over 500 posts and nothing nada zip zilch of relevance of importance. I do however, hijack the hell out of threads. Thats it thats all I do. Oh well, I guess I run over mailboxes too. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

LMAO. I think that we all contribute to the thread-jacking.
We are all a bit...ummm...lets say "off"... and we just post the random stuff that pops into our heads.
Reading the CC is like a case study of random association. |

Did you try the new punisher? I had some in my coffee. It wasn't really as crazy as I imagined. |
