and by heat i mean defrost at least so i can see while im driving and its cold, can anyone help me rewire my heater controls this week? im not getting any power to my blower motor. anything helps thanks guys.

sadly i still dont, and its getting colder and colder, ive just been so busy now that i work 2 jobs, that i just havent had the time. hoping to get it figured out this week. i just need to figure out where it goes from after the plastic block piece, because my blower has no power at all. motor, resistor, and relay are all new. it worked last year but i had to futs with the wire a bit to get it to work the first time. this year i have no luck.

If that "resistor" is bad, then high speed should still work, it's for the lower speeds. Possible it could kill all speeds.

I'd suggest the switch. I replaced mine last year when I lost high speed. I pulled it out and half of it was melted away! Laughing

GM part # 16068778 for a four speed switch. ~$13

lol i guess this is what i get for not checking this. lol havent checked the switch but now i have a just as bad problem stupid turn signal lever broke off in the column (stupid niehoff products) i have to fix that first. or at the same time... oh and i have NO SPEEDS. i never have heat. like at all. lol

The signal lever pulls straight out of the column, as long as the wipers are off. (learned that one the hard way before Brandon set me straight Laughing

)

If you can get ahold of any piece of it with vise grips, just yank it out. Five dollar JY part.

Checking the heater switch takes one minute. Pull the four T-15 screws out of the trim around the radio/HVAC. Remove the three 7mm screws holding the HVAC control itself. Pull it forward, and look for meltyness.

ya this is the second one thats broken off in the column but the first one was the stock one and was bent in the column so i learned how to take them out from that one. this time though im getting one from a JY this replicas are so crappy.

im going to check for meltyness right now BTW.

The connector on the far left in each picture, pull that off. In the bottom shot you can see some buring/brittleness.

with work i havent been able to get out to the JY but i have tuesday off luckily, so i should be able to work on her then. and hopefully ill have heat again Smile
