Thinkin' about sometime next year doing a WS6 hood on the GP...the current hood on it is toast, has so many rockchips. Input! Don't care if it's good/bad just wanna see what you all think. Im not so sure myself that the lines flow...

Here's all the pics I can find of WS6 hoods on GP's.

Side view...

Thoughts??? I have fixed feelings.

Thumbs down

Sorry Marc, I honestly don't even like WS6 hoods on WS6 Trans Am's. I do like the hood your buddy has on his TA which combines the upper and lower grills.

I do kinda like that two-tone with the GS stripes though. Ian will be all about that one. Razz

Well how about the Ram Air hood designed for GP's?

Dont like them on gp's, or 3rd gen ta's. I do like them on 4th gen ta's.

Plus its actually a windflow obstruction. And from my readings, even if you make it functional, to many bends to make them really functional.

If your hood is just chipped, have it repainted.

I can't see all of the links for the WS6 hood above but the GP specific hood looks better imo. Lines flow much better with the car. Kinda sessy actually.

Another view of the dual ram air. I'm with Mike on this one, it fits the lines of the car very well...

I'm not so much into this one. Too many holes, makes it look riceburner-ish...

This kind of smooth cowl looks pretty cool. Unfortunately the company selling them doesn't seem to proud of them, as this is the best pic I could find...

Man, I can only see one or two pictures here at work. I don't like the first RAII hood in the first picture. But then again, I don't like it on all of the other hundreds of cars it gets put on either.... Do the GPs have a hood like the RAI with smaller front vents? Maybe I'll just wait to comment until I can see all the pictures. Very Happy

Filtration is....weird. Photobucket and the like are all filtered. However, the crew site and almost all other forums are left open. LS1tech is blocked but TGO isn't. Which seems weird to me since they're the same company. And a TON of vender sites are blocked. K&Ns page is blocked! Google is even blocked! I have to use Bing. Laughing

I actually like the second one that Aaron posted the best. It's a little more rounded than the original which flows with the GP's lines a lot better.

Good to hear haha

I'm still leaning toward teh WS6 hood because of the price! 500 shipped to my door. Unpainted, fiberglass, and I don't think it looks too shabby.

The one with "too many holes" is actually my favorite of all these. The WS6 hood looks good on 4th gens and 3rd gens but not on a GP IMO. Cool

I pretty much hate all "snorkel" scoops. especially ones with 2 holes. they all look like big pig noses to me.

A nice cowl or single intake scoop looks best in my opinion. Get one with a wide cowl like the small picture. that would be sweet.
