Just pulled from my '88 305 'bird.
150K miles total, was pulled at 120K to change a planitary gear and sun shell that had cracked. Other than that, it was left alone.

This trans drove in every gear when I pulled it into the garage for the 5-speed swap, Drove it everyday, but had 2 issues; It leaked, and it wouldn't let you do any engine braking, it would slip out of gear if you took it from overdrive to D, 2, or 1. A search tells me that an overrun clutch is fried, or the forward sprag is broken, which both don't require a bottom up rebuild, but with the miles on it, I would recommend a full rebuild anyway, but thats up to the buyer. It does have some kind of shift kit installed brand unknown, but a WOT 1-2 shift would bark the tires.

Also have a flex plate, torque converter and a bunch of other misc. stuff that came out with the 5 speed conversion, feel free to ask.

Trying to recoupe after buying my new trans.
