If I can't work overtime at work this weekend, I'm going to try to make it out there! Sounds like a cool event, and I haven't really seen any cool cars since moving up here, so that'll be refreshing lol.

It's almost in your back yard. The raceway park has a Kent address, but it's somewhat closer to Auburn, off Hwy 18. Bring an unopened and unwrapped toy, I hear that's the admission fee, but I don't know if that 's for showing your car or not.

showing your car is free...just bring an unopened unwrapped toy for the event...can be just a matchbox car or an xbox whatever a kid will have fun with...

Just got back. Was a pretty big turnout for the lousy weather we had this morning. I'd say easily over a thousand cars showed up throughout the afternoon, which netted them a good trailer load of toys.

Al got quite a few pictures. I myself am a lousy photographer, and left it up to him. Very Happy

I might be the only one in parts again pretty soon. The kid I've been trying to train just is not picking this stuff up. I had to scramble today. He had our Olympia store set out an entire front and rear diff rebuild (bearings, seals, crush washers, etc) for the new owners good buddy. Problem is, Olympia is closed today. Greeeeeaaaaat.

Cool. I'd especially like to see some pics of that red GMC shortbox, and that crazy French Panhard.

BTW, found some info on that thing:

A mean looking 300

A 72 SS Chevelle Convertible that the owner built the way he wanted it.
Rear disc brakes form a Ford Explorer as the axle is also Ford.

I wish it was an IROC. Purple one is my daily V6 Laughing Razz

I showed up about 11:30 or so, most of the others waited until noon or shortly after. Was a good time.

Hey now, Al's beard is nowhere near as hickish as mine. Tisk tisk

I do remember the 944, but I don't remember who was driving it.

I'm rocking a mean looking beard right now. Maybe we need to start an official crewbie winter beard contest!
