So today I picked up an entire '88 305 TPI motor completely assembled with ecm and wiring harness. Anybody ever retro-fitted one of these into an older f body? It looks like the main harness connector that goes through on the driver's side is the same but I don't know if I can just plug it in. Other than that it looks pretty straight forward. The motor runs great I ran it for a bit before the guy pulled it this morning.
I also scored the entire gauge panel from the car. It has the 140mph speedo and 8k tach. Beats the crap out of the 85mph 6k. |

Yup. You'll need a wiring diagram. Study it and understand what each sensor does and wire appropriately. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

| I was just pouring over the wiring diagrams I have and it looks like I should go back and get as much of some other parts of the harness off the donor car as I can. I have the entire engine harness but I forgot to ask about getting the fan and I need to figure out how I'm going to integrate the speed sensor, then get the ecm to feed the speed to the gauge. |
