So my tags expire in August and it's still blowing blue smoke.
Any suggestions to get it to pass? I think the gutted cat will be the first issue |

Good plugs good oil good gas and get the motor as hot as you can without overheating. Backing the timing down 4-5deg helps too _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

| Do you feel that the 7 dollar a piece plugs really worth the money? |

| Do I have to replace the gutted cat? Doesn't gutting it raise emisions for the sake of HP? |

A "gutted cat" means you have no cat. Cat = lower emissions. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

| You wont pass emissions with a gutted cat. I tried it with a well tuned new engine. I have a used CatCo cat I would be wiling to sell for 50.00 bucks. It has a 3" inlet / outlet. |

Well since it is still registered to the previous owner in eastern Oregon, Ill just have him re-register it there, and send me the tags. Ive heard from a few people that they don't have emissions restrictions in Baker.
The man might want a payment though... |

I'm with Rod. Put a cat on it and register it in your name before you get fined by the po po. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

I would prefer to, funding is my biggest issue though...
I think that hole in my muffler the size of a doller might make it hard to test too... |
