OK... got 14 runs in... from a low of 80 to the high of 103 (twice)
1. Make sure you're charging system is up for frequent offs and ons for the engine.
Mine wasn't, and I had to get a jump for my last run.
The alternator was a 10si with a large circumference (about as big around as the alternator face) pulley.
I switched to a 12si today and a normal pulley. Hopefully, that will take care of the charging problem.
2. If you run hot, consider switching to synthetic oil.
I ran hot (195 or so) until I put the synthetic in... now it sticks at 180 or less... even when doing extended idles.
3. Consistency is the key. Try to do the same thing, in the same order, every run. Unfortunately, I've got a stock shifter, so I went 1-3 a couple of times.
4. Progressive linkage is wierd... and at first, I thought I was all in when I wasn't. When that second carb opened up... it was definitely awesome.
