ok i read through that thread, but I do have an airbag, one besides my mother in law that is. I know I need to disconnect the battery etc. but what do i need to do to pull the wheel with that airbag in the way. I told it to get the heck outta the way but it doesn't listen any better than the mother in law.

Disconnect battery and pull airbag fuse. Then get at the screws behind the wheel to pull the air bag out. Then disconnect the wiring. The rest is as follows.

Do bagged thirdgens have clock springs?

It's actually pretty hard to set them off. SIR should be Safety Inflatible Restraint. So yes.

And with the battery disco, it shoudn't blow up. I don't even mess with the fuse, just the battery. There has to be an electrical charge to trigger the bag.

It can be done in the column, I suppose. The easiest way is under the dash.

Haha, that's why I have a giant magnet on a stick. I've lost so many metal stuff in the yard and in the driveway, that my dad made me this "metal detector" when I was a kid and to use it to find any thing that was lost.
