Okay, so weather is getting nice. I say the Northerner's throw up a little gathering. I have Sundays off and with some notice can get saturday off and maybe make a weekend out of it something? Toss out some date ideas, May 16-17th? 23-24? I don't BBQ that well since I'm a veggie but I can let someone else man the grille if need be! If it's nice we can hit up Alki or Ruston Way, maybe go for a cruise out on the Peninsula? We could always hit up Pacific Raceways. The road course is open testntune on may 15th and may22. The weekend of the 15th they have vintage road racing going on and the weekend of the 22nd is SCCA Nationals. Just trying to toss some ideas out there! _________________

I've got Saturday night, and all day Sunday off. Name your time your time, place, and requested food and drink, and I'm there.
For cruise ideas, 509 out to Browns/Dash Point is a great run, but Fife cops = teh suck. |

You still work at 56th? I think 509 would be a little short, I'm thinking a full afternoon type of thing. Maybe up to paradise or out skate creek (that road is fun!) or something.

Closed to you southerners that's for sure! What, do you think because you people host all the gatherings you get a free invite or something!? I just figured I'd get the ball rolling around these parts and if you guys want to join in the reindeer games that's cool!
Evidentally the All Chevy Show at my dealership is also father's day weekend? So I'm putting out the idea for another gathering day if that conflicts with anyone. But on the BBQ issue; I'm not buying any meat for you guys--All I got is Salmon burgers! |

I think bbq items can be arranged.
But Al MUST tell me where he got those bada$$ burgers that he brought to COWS last June.
Let me discuss it with the 3rd gen owner of the house. But I've been saying for the last couple years the Ian should have a gathering at his castle.
A cruise up the sound to like Pt Townsend or up the mt in Pt Angeles would be really nice assuming the weather is decent.
Just need a confirmed date. _________________ Picture of 'Scort goes here |

Paradise sounds like fun. It's been a long time since I've been up on Mt. Rainier. Last I heard, the lodge/gift shop was under renovation. Is it open again?

IIRC I got those at Fred Meyer. They may also be available at Costco. I'll have to see if I can get a hold of some more for this one _________________ 92 Camaro

That'd be cool, but creepy now because I don't live there and my step dad is an uber control freak about who comes over. I might be able to arrange that as segue/meeting point/pit stop/hang out/whatever. haha. |

I have looked at both places and haven't seen anything quite like those.
Maybe I can have you transport me some if you can find them assuming they can be frozen.

They're fully cooked already and I normally find them in the frozen foods area. |

Seems to be an ongoing theme with this crowd. Even our threads have ADD. I don't know if I've read one thread that goes for more than a few posts without being derailed.
Wanna go ride bikes?
Seriously though, should I just pick a weekend? I kind of like the idea of hitting up the vintage racing so if others want to see that, we can shoot for the weekend of the 15th. If I'm alone on that, then the weekend of the 22nd and a nice long cruise. |

You'll have to refresh my memory. I remember bringing blue cheese burgers to COWS, I also remember something else for another gathering - maybe bacon & cheddar?
I'll do some shopping prior to this one and see what I can get |

sounds awesome Ian. I'll man the grill if you don't mind. I love BBQ-ing so much. I can grill anything, burgers, steaks, fish, chicken, oysters, shrimp, veggies, kabobs, pancakes, egg omelets... the list goes on.

Okay, so there's a car show on the Saturday of May 30th; anybody have any issues about going with that day? I say meet at my place Friday night/Saturday morning, run to the car show, eat and BS then either come back to my place for pictionary and grape juice and cruise Sunday.
Seriously though, no pictionary and grape juice. Either cruise saturday night or cruise Sunday night. I haven't really decided where to yet so that might dictate how long it takes/how far. _________________
