its official my bird is going to be sold tomorrow for $1500 (depending if the guy shows up) and ill be buying a Mark 2 (84-92) VW Jetta. i hope you guys will still stand by me in my next project, i plan on getting another bird later on (about 21ish). my plans for the vee-dub are swaping in a 2.8L VR6 (they come with no less than 180hp) seeing as how the car only weighs 2400 it should be a rocket!!. this way i have a fast 4-door, see i can stomp a Honda then take my friends to lunch to laugh about it and only pay 5 dollar's in gas. seeing as there is another 4-door car in the club im hoping you guys can still accept me. thanks _________________ ****______****

Well it's sucks you're getting rid of the bird. Vr6 swaps are a fairly hefty accomplishment though. They do sound amazing with decent exhaust. You may want to look into a 1.8t swap or something. If you need any tech help or parts; stop by my work and I can hook you up. The guy I work with, Randy, is obsessed with vdubs and has connections for cheap, genuine german parts. He's got like 4 vws himself. A beetle, an mk1 rabbit, an mk2 GTI, and an mk4 jetta. _________________

My friend has an MK2 with a VR and it's pretty quick. Although he does say that it's very front heavy now and really messes with the handling. Have fun working on it though. _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S
