 |
				| hi, my names zach. I have had my 1986 trans am since around age 16 <it> and i blew the 305 up when i was on my way back from a senior party at ocean shores my last year of highschool, i couldn't bring myself to part with it so i sent it to storage
now sometime later since i have a reliable daily driver i decided to do what i always wished i had and build a race engine for my trans am, since my car was a WS6 original car, i didn't really wanna loose the numbers matching engine, so i pulled the motor and installed a set of keith black forged internals and custom edelbrock TPI cam shaft, also installed a set of 2.02 heads off a 1969 Z28. i then put the motor in storage with the car for another year and just this month when it got slow at my shop put the motor into her and installed a single serpentine setup along with some other goodies.

upon the installation of my motor while cranking it over and setting the timing i had a little backfire, which incidently oblitterated my intake box and ducting so if anyone has one, ill buy it. lol a new mass air flow might be nice too but my old one still works.

By the intro, I would guess at least a couple of years past.

				| to clear up, im 5 years graduated and have a associates degree in Science and one in Psychological arts. lol.
I am partner/partial owner of a small auto shop in kent.

Yea, i actually just fired off the trans am today for the first offical run time. Sounds pretty mean with the shorty headers and that cam in her. and i bet im the only person in the history of cascade crew to have a fully built 5.0 <even> lol.

Yea, i enjoy the WRX but i do miss the T-top's and RWD.

i currently hold ASE master tech status, so i didn't really come here to ask for technical help. i have been floating around this board for the past few years waiting till i put my bird back on the road, but since im using company account to fund the restoration. i figured now was a good time.

				| The TA is alright, the paint is below marginal. it will be flat bed towed to westover auto rebuild in maple valley for a full paint resto- before it ever hits the road. thats for damn sure. can't be out there with that oxidized GM water based clear coat >< _________________
