Ok, well once again another question about my el camino

i got it all back together, IT IS TIMED CORRECT, and everything sounds great at idle..

if you go to give it gas or get it into higher rpm's it will backfire.. is it my carberator or is it somthing else?.. i have a brand new just out of box edelbrock intake.. and a suposibly rebuilt carb.. the carb is going to get replaced if i can ever afford a brand new one or if someone has a used one laying around for a ok price that they know works, if so please let me know Smile

the carb's a 750 cfm.. bit too beefy for my (as far as i know) stock motor..

any help is much apperciated
