What would be killing O2 sensors after less than a thousand miles? I'm on my third sensor since March, and it just started having problems. They never throw a code, but gas mileage drops into the single digit range, and TunerPro shows that they start to have very high readings (750-900mV range) and never drop down to normal range.

I am running a single Bosch sensor in the drivers side header right before the collector gasket. Would I do better to get a heated sensor and relocate it to right before the cat?

I've had bad luck with Bosch sensors myself.

Location should be fine though.

Water tends to kill them IIRC.

I kinda figured it might be that after I had such bad issues with Bosch spark plugs. Problem is that's all anybody carries around here. Are NGK or Delco ones any better?

I had been using a 3 wire heated delco with my LTs and for the wideband an NTK (NGK). Lasted for the year or so I had them in there with no problems.

Bosch are OE for a lot of companies though. Like VW. Although everyone knows VWs are just a little bit off. Laughing
