so the other day i turned on my xbox 360 the other day while i was waiting on my dad to get home and the thing had 1 flashing red light on the front of it. i called customer service and they said it was $100 to fix it, right know im straped for cash or its all in the bird so i need a cheap fix. i tryed the towel trick and it worked for about 15 min then did it agian. can you help me?

If you have three rings, it should still be under the three-year warranty. Don't do the towel "fix" again. That just ruins stuff.

thats why i bought the PS3 its more reliable and it should be under the 3 year my brothers x box crapped out 3 days after he bought it and had to send it to microsoft and they sent him a new one for free but he still lost all his acheivments to

there is a few temporary ways to fix it, but it depends on what is wrong

you know how to get the secondary error codes?

this will tell you how to do that and push "more info" on the right for the instructions

check the date on the back and see when it was made. if its been less then 3 years, leave the system on if you can till you get the 3 red rings then xbox fixs it for free. dunno if it will work but worth a shot.

daaang, so much hateing on the X-Box.. i bought mine a little over a year ago.. and i wouldn't trade it for anything, i'm going to look for all the articles.. but graphic's wise, game informer did about 3 different times and compared those 2, and everytime the X-Box came out just a bit on top.. and what ps3 only games had as many people as Halo 3 playin on it lol

my little bro has an x-box and i have a ps3 we did our oun little test the same game for the two diff systems my ps3 killed the x-box i wont touch his x-box and for what its worth i dont think halo is worth all the hype its boring

but go for it specially since they dumped the price and made it cheaper than the wee, since we're on the subject of vid games is anyone else out there kinda sick of the steriotipical racing games that have always made the muscle cars big piles of crap kinda makes me not wanna play them anymore i think i'll stick with my shooter games like rainbow 6 vegas 1 and 2 and gta4 btw anyone out there have a gamer tag they wish to give out i'm always looking for more people to game with
