The weakest link in the T5 is the input shaft bearing size. (Pocket Bearings) as they are commonly called take all the abuse of the input to mainshaft terror. At almost HALF the size of a T-10 or Muncie, these bearings are the first to go upon low fluid levels. Please, check your manual transmission fluid level REGULARLY!

Why? Just replace the seal. Pop the tranny back. 4 bolts and there she is.

The PCM i have is designed for an auto trans. I'm also on the power threshold of what a t5 will take, and I'm slowly going for more.

Also more reasons, but I wont get into them.
