just heard on the news that those of you in washington will be ticketed for washing your car in front of you house. you will be required to take it to a carwash in order to wash your car.

Hard to say how far that will go. So far just proposed in Clark County.

10 minutes on google shows that the City of Vancouver is still mostly on a combined flow sewage system (although it looks like they are trying to move to a seperated system). That makes this the stupidest law I have ever heard. Storm run-off goes into the same system as waste sewage, so what difference does it make if it has soap in it.

thats stuiped oregon state police have athing now that tell thim if ur closer than 2 sec. behind a car and will pull u over if u are closer

Or make sure your garage has a drain in it, and start washing in your garage.

Saw this in the Columbian

I can see it now: The Clark County jail, full to the brim. In the common area, the grizzled old con looks at the accountant-type non violent offender and says:

"Whatcha in for?"

And he replies:

"I was hosing off my pick up... and they got me for felony car wash."

Yeah I heard about this law a couple months ago somewhere in the East. Thankfully I live on a col de sac. This ranks up there as one of the stupidest laws I've ever heard.
