Installed the SLP runners and really didnt notice much of a difference in normal driving except more even left/right o2 readings which was the main reason I bought them.
Anyway, starting from in to out, I'm listing the main items and let me know which one you think is hurting me the most.

1. Dual TPI intake with under filters cut out and the rear opening slightly modded.
2. Stock 48mm TB with hypertech air foil.
3. Plenium modded for slp's and egr wall removed
4. SLP runners, partly siamesed(sp) an extra inch.
5. Complete stock TPI base
6. 810 swirl port heads
7. Stock rockers
8. unknown flat tappit cam (I think its the crate motor cam)
9. Eldbrock headers
10. Custom 3" mandrel bend exhaust with "test pipe".

My guess is the heads, combined with the long runner lenght of TPI. I've never been a TPI fan due to the length of the runners. That and the small'ish intake ports due to the swirl block on the heads are likely what is holding you back the most.

Maybe get some 416's or L98 heads, and do a little port work, and try out that new eldelbrok intake. it looks pretty nice.

Ive always liked TPI. Its also mostly an around town car. I hardly rev it past 3500 so I may not be taking advantage of most of my parts Confused

810 are truck heads and crate motor heads
Flat tappit.. is that how you spell it? Old school cam, non-roller.

5, 6 and 8.

Do you know your flat tappet cam specs? Cam might not have a similar profile to your TPI, thus the parts aren't working together for most power potential.

Get an Accel or similar Base. Get some Vortec or Dart heads. Swap in a nice 262 XE Comp Grind or similar.

Get someone to tune it.

See it go to 5200 instead of 4800.

People need to realize unless your stock tune is super rich to begin with.. when you add more flow like headers and runners even heads and cam... if you don't give it more fuel, you're not going to notice anything. That's why people band aid it with bigger injectors and or an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. You can get your WOT ballpark but your drivability goes to shizzle cause you just forced that to go rich to make up for your lean WOT. The computer is set to give X fuel for X Map reading or MAF reading. WOT doesn't take MAF readings... err to a point.

I have a 2002 wire system on the car, and the abilty to program it. So I can tune it w/o any problems.

So cam, intake, heads seem to the most suggested.
