I bought some new runners to replaced my dented stuff. It came with an intake aswell. All was partly polished and looks nice. Except they didnt do the sides of the intake. Ive never polished before and thought this would be a decent time to try. Then I'll give it a go on an alternator case Very Happy

I am at the 220 stage in these pics. Is this looking right? Need more sanding?

(and yes I posted this on TGO but no responses so far)

Looks pretty fancy Jay. I like the look of polished TPI's! Cool

We shall see. Not really sure what I am doing so who knows how it will look.

The ribs in this one are painted engine orange. Gotta get rid of that. Guess I will do black as to much red looks like crap.

Then I want to polish the inside of the runners. Having problems finding something to jam down them.

I wouldn't worry much about polishing the intake. So long as they all line up with the gaskets and the plenum side is fluted to get rid of any hard edges.
