The LT1 was paid in full last night and was taken off property. The kid stuck with the payment plan and I'm glad I sold it to him. He is going to learn a lot from it. I choked up a little bit to see it go. Its been my project for the last 3 years and has come a long way.
Here's how I found it:
And here's how it left: _________________ E30

Will be cool to still refer to it post 454 as the V6 car... perhaps some V6 badges as well

I was thinking of putting the quietest exhaust I could find on it with an cable side dump. Just so I can mess with the ricers. Muahaha!
The LT1 will be missed though. I learned a lot and now I'm not afraid to do any type of motor swap as long as it bolts up. My next project for the truck might be a 2002 harness swap! |

| I'm waiting till the new motor is in. I've hit the limits of the V6. I think I actually hit it a long time ago, i just now realized I did though. Before it comes out it will be dyno'd and hopefully 1/4 times. Just so I can see how I did. |

| I hope so. If the vortec 4.3 2002 PCM is the same as the V8 then I'm in luck. A friend of mine got the harness with a motor from the junk yard and said I could have it. |

I'm talking the harness thats in the truck right now. Its a 97/98 350 right? If so, you can put the 0411 ecm in it w/o removing the harness. You will have the same wiresystem/program as my car. It will just have the correct motor infront of it.
BTW, was digging thru old pics today. Found some of the first blue 89 |

I have some pics of my first camaro on my computer screen saver. Makes me sad I don't know if I ever posted pics of the before/after here on cascade. Unless someone wants to see the accident pictures I'll spare all.
Ya, the 97 computer sucks. NO SUPPORT! Will the 0411 use the same plugs? It seems to be a common swap to change it over. If I did, I'd want to save my old plugs and splice in the new one. That way I can always go back if I run into problems. |

I know you can use the same harness. You just change the plugs on the end... and you can do it w/o cutting the harness.
Does yours have 3 plugs, or two long ones? |

I think mine is 4 (+2 small ones) just like the LT1 PCM. The plug I have access to is a 2 long plug deal. If I play my cards right, I might get the vortec V6 stuff with its central all in one regulator/injector setup. Then I could inject anything!
Is the two long plugs a good thing? What does yours look like? |

2 long is GREAT!! Thats what you need! You will just have to find the re-pin chart off um.. pacificp.com. I think 97's had something weird that had to be done to get the ac to work.
But basically, all you need is a 0411pcm, the diagram/chart, and editing program. No wireharness or engine parts needed.
