My boat has a 300cfm 2 barrel. I noticed that the accelerator pump is not pumping! It has an umbrella type diaphram with a linkage/cam type actuation. when you mash on it with a screw driver it squirts out a bit by the gasket so it seems like it might be a clogged line to the throught? Has anyone had this happen before?

sounds like the gasket or diaphram itself might be bad, or the pump discharge ball might have something restricting it.

is it a model 2300 2V?

Not sure. I'll look when i get home.

Are there two ball checks in the accel circuit?

I seem to recall there only being one, in the main body of the carb down by where your accelerator pump diaphram is.

the 4150/4160 have them in the metering block.

I took the carb apart today in search of the illusive clog. I found none. There was minimal debri inside (which I cleaned), cleaned out the accel pump nozzle in the throught, inspected the power valve, and all of the lines in the metering block. Everything checked out fine. The accel pump only has a ball in it to keep it one way out of the bowl.

Put it back together, runs like a champ! Pump works great. I dumped some gas down the carb, cranked it up, and there ya go. All I had to do was set the bowl level. Don't know what it was! THanks for the help though!
