so my Mom's boyfriend, Mick, is working on one of these.

some information:
Quote:
The front-wheel-drive engine/tranny combination was borrowed from the Citroën GSA, a car which was never imported into the US. The 1299cc 4 cylinder boxer engine was well suited to the task. Other components were borrowed production vehicles, such as the front suspension and rear trailing arm coming from the Renault R5, steering rack from a Renault Alliance and dash gauges from Honda.

the Fiat engine uses a Weber Carburetor that was only ever used in the states on the 94 production Trihawks. Mick took the thing apart and rebuilt it, and put it back together.. wrong. he is now in need of answers from someone who is good with Weber Carburetors. does anyone know a weber guy?

I'll check with a friend at work, he seems to know about most everything else car related. He's up on the Reservation in Tulalip if he needs to take it to him.

Yikes, a combination of a Citroën and Renault. That is asking for trouble. Lets pick two of the worst cars ever built, and merge them together....

I really have no tech to offer on this one....

My friend at work seems to think they are fairly simple. He also has a neighbor that is restoring one of those things.

Tony, you have a PM with contact info.

well, Mick called that guy, got a bit of info, but it was not too helpful. he ended up taking my advise, which was to just try all 4 possible combinations of venturi and jet placement until one ran well. he got it all back together. went for a drive last week. it is a fun little car. i can feel the potential for speed. it has some type of fueling issue still. and the exhaust is WAY too small. once those things are ironed out i am pretty sure it will be back to it's factory claimed crazy speed.
