Do you need eliminators with disk rear? I know it would be safer to have them in, but is it necessary?
I know that when you break a c-clip axle with too much powwwaaa that the wheel tends to leave the car. If you have disk brake rears though, the caliper bracket holds the disk and hence the wheel in the axle should the c-clip fall out or the axle break. |

i don't know what an eliminator is, but i can vouch that discs hold in a broken axel. they also make said wheel HARD to turn... when say.. pushing Pauls busted ass camaro up on a trailer. ...after i beat him down the track. |

If you go with a 9" rear, this is never a problem.
The carrier has a taper and an extra bearing just for the axles to hold them in place. _________________

Negative. The carrier does nothing to hold the axles in nor does the bearing. There is a bolt in retainer plate that bolts through tbe backing plate holding the axles on.
Disc brakes will hold an axle. Eliminators aren't worth it. Go discs. |
