In the grand tradition that I felt the need to start last year, I will continue again this year, by bringing it back up. With just one month until the Party With The Cows 2008 (this is the 7th year for those who are couting). It seems that this event is the one where each year, the crewbies find a way to make it, bigger, better, and a little more crazy. What started as a humble little event in BFE put on by who we thought was just a quiet country boy, has turned into the well. COWS.

Every year at PWTC (Party With The Cows), it seems it just gets larger, and better.

Year 1, 2002.
Well, this speaks for itself, the first. The original. Great weekend, and of course, who could forget the infamous field were a certain someone found out that cows, do in fact leave pie's behind. It was a relativly quite and relaxing weekend, with a nice cruise to a scenic covered bridge. Ohh, if only we knew what this little event would one day become.

Year 2, 2003.
This year at cows, a couple of us started what was to become a tradation at cows. You see, Brandon has a small stretch of road on his property, so we can pretty much do whatever we like there. So we descided, what use is a stretch of pavement, without black tire marks! Thus is born the tradition of the PWTC Burnout Contest. This year, also marked another first in Cows history, yes, the first cruise to be cut short by a certain red firebird not running at 100% (sorry to bring back the bad memories Mike).

Year 3, 2004.
Ahhh who could forget 2004. This year of PWTC had SO much leading up to it. You see, by this time, we had been doing our dyno gathering for some time. Well, Bart (techerb) and myself (who have been friends since we were in short pants), had a bit of a riveraly going. I went and made THIS POST. I was rather confident, and then THIS happens. I had managed to neglect to connect a spark plug wire, or three. Of couse, I am a very sore loser, and I respond like anyone would, I throw down a challenge (that I plan to cheat at). You can read all about that HERE. Sadly, we never got to race, as Bart wrecked his Firebird two day's before the big night. Now, I am one who doesn't like to see someone lose like that. Mike Schultz (Schultzy89GTA) on the hand, likes to see a grown man in a TuTu, which of course takes us to the following thread (read about it here).

So, 2004 set the bar one notch higher, as Bart did in fact, wear the Tutu the entire day at the car show.

2004, also started the tradition of being involved in the local car show, and having PWTC happen on the car show weekend. Crewbie took home a total of 4 trophies this year! Just for the kids at home keeping score, it breaks down something like this.

Blue Team - 2, White Team - 2, Red Team - 0

Year 4, 2005.
How could this group of rif-raf top the mess that was Cows 3? Well, with more to drink of course!

Ahhh yes, 2005, this year, the car show was canceled, it rained, but we made the best of it! We had chevelles catching fire, burnouts, lots to drink, a hike, and of course, Captin of the red team, with a BLUE umbrella. I joke not. So we take a nice cruise to Mt St Helens, and there we find a young and aspiring pole dancer by the name of TwilightOptics.

And for those still keeping score. No car show, so still something like...

Blue 2, White 2, Red...well, nothing

Year 5, 2006.
Some members of the Crew, seem to be trying to hide their stupidity, while others embrace it. 2006, saw pretty much everyone embrace it. Very Happy

What can I say about Cows06, it was a BLAST, it was crazy, it was fun, and it was relaxing. 2006 was such a great cows, it deserves a few more pictures, and little reminder of just how fun it can be.

2006, brough the return of the car show!

This year also brought the appearance of a whole new creature at PWTC.

Dirty Steve. Need I say more.

Is that what I think it is???? Ohh, yes. 2006 also saw a couple of young men step up to the plate, and bring back the Tutu bet!!!! (I still haven't heard a bet for 2008, who is going to step up this year?)

We also added go-carts! You haven't seen crazy, until you see the CascadeCrew, get into 5hp briggs powered carts, with wheels falling off. As if that wasn't bad enough, we went out with a mission. We were seriously trying to get someone killed!

This year also saw the comingn of "Chainsaw" and "Drain-O", along with such great phrases as "Step into one" Very Happy Shocked

Sadly though, no trophies came home with us this year, so well Red Team is still batting zero. Blue - 2, White - 2, Red - 0.

Year 6, 2007.
So, year 6, time to once again re-hash the grand traditions of PWTC of the past, along with starting new ones, well we make it even more fun.

Yes, the burnout contest keeps going, even when the cars don't! Thats right folks, hell, high water, or a minor oil leak wouldn't stop Chris from trying to regain his dignity in the form of a big white smoke show!

Then the ever resourcefull Rodney, starting a new tradition of opening beers with nothing but spare thirdgen parts that happen to be nearby. I think this idea could grow into a whole new contest, of finding the biggest badest speed parts available, to open your beer.

Of course, we aren't content to just party, ohhh no, no, no, We strive to bring the party to a new level. 2007, saw the first ever PWTC Band, thats right folks, live music came to Cows for the first time in 2007.

Ohhh, In big new though, Mike Shultz did win a trophy this year for the Crew, as did Brandon! So as much as it pains me, I need to update the running total.

Blue Team - 3, White Team - 2, Red Team - 1.

Of course, this is just touching on the fun that is cows, some things I wish I could share more of, but well, what happens in the hot tub, stays in the hot tub. One thing though, ties all the great year of Cows together, and that is a great weekend, with great friends, and a great time.

----------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------

So, with that. I wanted to remind everyone of the spirit of this group, what we are about, and the great times to be had. We aren't really a car club, we are more of a big group of friends, who all drive the same car. We are the guys who haul rear axles across the state, just in case someone might need it on a cruise. We are also type that have a great time.

Now, I posted all of this to remind you, that PWTC 08 will be THE place to be during the first weekend of June. I promise we will not disapoint, we will find a way to raise the bar another notch. I don't know how yet, but give us 3 or 4 bottles of tequila, and we will find a way!

Hope to see you all there! May 31st, June 1st, June 2nd.

The Camaro needs about $100 worth of attention before I can even consider taking it, but if it aint running, I'll just get on the motorcycle and still come party.

So I will see ya'll with the hay burners. ^^

You failed to mention a significant moment in the history of COWS:
The introduction of the Port-a-schultzy.

PK, it is in Skamokawa, WA. Its about 45 miles NW of Portland, OR.

Quick google lookup, shows its about 280miles from Pasco, It really wouldn't be that bad of a drive, I've made the Portland to Tri-cities drive a few times, and this is really only taging on about an hour onto that.

If you are able to make this one, I can bring that dash pad for you. I will be there. All of our gatherings are great for parts exchanges between crewbies Smile I just let a rear end go to one Friday.

You're just a bit ahead of me. That was on the plans for this weekend. I was informed of a chance for travel today for the company, if it happens, I hope it's after COWS as normally thes opportunities are very short notice. Maybe London or Dubai this time...

I'll be there if I'm not overseas Very Happy
