So, in light of the nice weather we've been having lately, plus being bored and on my spring break...I decided to make a few changes.
1) NO MORE PINK HOOD.
she's got 2 cans of Krylon primer on her for now, did some black primer and a semi-gloss for the center. Wont' see some serious paint until I get the couple little pieces of damage on the corner fixed, and until I can re-adhere where its seperating up by the cowl.
If you guys know anyone good at fiberglass repair, who doesn't mind showing me how, send em my way.
2) BECAUSE A CLEAN ENGINE BAY, IS A HAPPY ENGINE BAY.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
I figured, since I bought all this paint, I might as well clean up the engine bay. Also ran to the JY today and picked up a new caliper for the passenger front.
Man....all this work....and I still can't even drive it yet... At least it cured the boredom. _________________

It's always nice to get something accomplished on your car.
Looks good. Just needs the heart. _________________

I feel your pain in that department. Though mine is almost ready, it still sits on jack stands. Hood and engine bay are looking good. _________________ 92 Camaro

I'm strongly thinking of going and finding myself a cheap 305 or something and stuffing it in there, just so I can drive it again at least.
Plus the car show registration has been sitting on the end table for a while, giving me that little extra nudge to do it. _________________

any SBC with accessory bolt holes in the heads is ideal. Its Most cost efficent way to get it up and rolling again.
I'd have to get a different bellhousing, and change petals, and find a non-leaky slave cyl (for the Hyd clutch), and change the motor mounts, blah, blah.... _________________

Lots of engines at the swap meet.
Hell... there was a full 2.8 MPFI there for $40! out of an '89. If i had a way to transport it and get it INTO said vehicle... I'd take it. |

I'm going tomorrow, so maybe there'll be some people who want to unload their stuff for cheap, so they don't have to pack it up when the Swap meet's over. _________________
