That's a hell of a price. Want me to go look at it?

No title? A little sketchy, no?

You can run the vin with DOL of WA and see if there are any Liens on it, and if its a clear history.

I personally would stay clear of anything more than a parts car with no title....very sketchy.

As long as he is the registered owner and has ID, just take him to the DOL and they can transfer ownership without a title. I did it with my trailer and my boat without hassle.

Ian, not sure if you got my msg on AIM or not since it's mobile (as is usually the case with you)...

sending you a PM instead.

but yes, I'd love if you could check it out for me, get the vin, etc ...

like I mentioned, from the side, it actually looks 82-84, which honestly has me even more interested in it.

My truck just got totaled last night, so this might be a good buy.....

I'll bet it'll be gone by the time I get any money from my Insurance though.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe if you give him a call, he can hold it for you. Just a thought...

Well, me and another friend carpooled over to someone's party (my car stayed home.) We got a call around 10:30 from my house that someone had plowed into the back of it at about 40mph and took out the rear end completely.

I didn't get home in time to see anything, they'd cleared both cars out already. I only briefly talked with the officer that showed up on the scene on the phone, but he said that it'll likely be 100% her fault, and she was sited for "wreckless/inattentave driving".

It wasn't exactly a nice truck or anything, but it still sucks, because now I don't have a vehicle to drive. I have to go monday and talk with my Ins company and see if I can get a rental until the adjuster goes out and accesses the damage. I'm about 99% sure its a total loss.

I don't get to see the truck until Monday when the tow yard is open. I plan on taking some pictures, and getting some personal effects out of the truck.

Shocked
good god. I'd say it's good luck you were not in the thing. way to come out unharmed.

if all it needs is timed it might be a good thirdgen for you to get Chris. it's main problem is wheels, and you have a few sets of those. plus you have headers and a "cat-less back" to put on it.

I still have the 4th gen.

Gonna see if I can procure a rental until they decide if the Ranger's a total or what.

If they won't, I'll just switch the insurance back over to the 4th gen and be driving that.

I'm just glad this happened while I was on my spring break and not during School.
