greetings everyone. with talk of cows building it's time to throw up the official info post.

WHAT:
the annual cascade crew gathering. we arrive on Friday for socializing and BBQ. Saturday morning/afternoon is a car show. (details and registration info to follow). there will/may be a "bunrout" contest on Saturday as well. our host has a small section of tarmac that just begs for some rubber. (see videos on main page).. Sunday is breakfast at the "Duck INN" and a cruise.

WHERE:
skamakowa WA. exact address to be posted at a later date.

WHY:
why the hell not.

WHEN: may 31st-june 2nd. arrive whenever Friday, leave whenever Sunday.

WHAT TO BRING:
Food/beverage:
beverages for yourself, including hard alcohol, mixers, beer, soda, and bottled water. a cooler for said beverages as well as bagged ice. plan to share. Friday night is BBQ night, bring some stuff to grill, as well as accoutrement. saturday morning is usually grab a muffin or pastry and hit the show. in fact you could probably hold off til lunch, but i would not recommend it. lunch on Saturday is provided at the car show with admittance. it's a chicken/salmon BBQ. dinner on saturday is BBQ again (surprised?). Sunday breakfast is at an eatery known as the "Duck". it is filling, bring your big boy pants. and cash makes things easy on the staff.
another thing worth mentioning is to bring stuff to snack on. whenever alcohol is consumed en mass hungry seems to come with it. somthing microwavable is a good idea. (corn dogs, pizza rolls, hot pockets). as well as chips and stuff.

other:
a chair. you will need it. there will be many people here and our host cannot provide seating for you all.
a tent. there are a few places on the floor inside to crash out, but it is recommended to bring a tent if you have one. bring an extra if you can.
sleeping bag or bed roll, and pillow.
burnout tires/wheels.
warm clothing. it is deceptively cold in the morning/night.
a hat
sunscreen. SUNSCREEN!!

Anyone feel free to post up more info. I'll edit it in to the main post.

This reminds me of back in college.. when you found fliers, you didnt make, advertising parties at your own apartment. . Anyway, you took some of the work out of it Tony. So everythings fine.

I received my pre-registration form yesterday for the car show. I'll try to get it scanned and up soon, for the people who havent entered before. Those of us who have previously entered should recieve a form in the mail. $25 gets you, 1 meal ticket for the salmon/chicken bbq, a t-shirt, and a goodie bag. Then if you vote you'll receive a dash plaque as well. Same price day of show but you'll get no shirt or goodie bag. Extra meal tickets are $8. All proceeds go to local high school scholarships.

I received my pre-registration today. Time to break out the check book and send it in. Looks like the price is up a little this year, but still a good cause Smile

I guess I don't get to enter Sad

I was in last year but they don't want me back, I guess that's why they didn't send me an invitation.
