I hadnt auto x'd in 4 years they say. So they allowed me in novice class Laughing

I think this v8 actually transitions better then my old v6(maybe cause Ive rebuilt the whole front end?).

but most of all, all I gotta say is NOT ENOUGH RUBBER!!! This thing was trying to spin the whole time. I sure learned how to feather the gas.

Scores to be posted in a few days. Not sure what I was running on my first 3. But on the last 3 I knocked I think a good second off.

What club held the auto-x? were there any other F-bodys out? Im gettin my bird ready to run in packwood on april 19/20 with SCCA NW, the 19th is a pro solo, and the 20th is solo. Its always good fun to be able to go out and put the hammer down, and haul some ass without having to keep your eyes peeled for cops.

Whatever the local SCCA club here in arkansas is.

There was 1 other fbody, 00-02 WS6 bird. He was on 275/40/zr17 hancocks and had been racing since the first time I was there. To say the least, he was faster then I.

63.021 slowest
60.374
60.297
60.258
59.850
59.188 fastest

This was on normal street setup. Zero prep... not even tire pressure adjustment(my pump is broke Confused ).
225/55/16 goodyear H2 up front.
235/55/16 Goodyear GTII rear.
34mm front bar/18mm rear bar

Course fastest 48.657 (08 shelby on slicks and a kick ass driver)
Course slowest 67. something... for the ones that actually drove it halfway right.

Was it a fast open track? Wish I could get some racing in. We don't have open parking lots up here anymore. Crying or Very sad

it was fairly wide open, but it doubled back over itself.

Most of the runs I took off in 2nd and left it. Once I tried 3rd but missed downshift, so I quit that.

You need a spare set of wheels, and then slap some V710's on, and watch those times drop!

I do john, just didnt have time to get them on. I have 16" s10 wheels with sz50ep's, so bald that they wouldnt pass state inspection.

The car wasnt running right on saturday, thought I had it fixed sat night at 11:30pm. To have it start sputtering on way to races... I just reverted back to an old tune that I knew worked.
