|

hey everyone-
i'm trying to clean up my engine bay and was wondering if anyone makes a chrome elbow for a tpi...i think it's the piece where the MAF senor goes. i'm still learning the names of the sensors, so bear with me.
it the part that comes out of the throttle body (plastic accordion part) and then elbows to the left (if looking at it) and has a sensor plugged into the bottom of it.
anyone make a replacement part of that?
also, i need to get a new washer fluid bottle (89 gta) and i've found some stock ones, but would like to get something a little more flashy. i found a chrome bottle for the radiator resiovor, so i'll put that in on that side, but i would like to get some "bling" on the other side.
i'm not sure how it would look with no bottle on the left (passenger) and a big plastic bottle on the right (driver).
any help?
thanks. _________________ we all gotta start somewhere.... |

The piece I put on my V6 was originally chrome, I put it there as an extension because I don't have a MAF and I'm using the TPI style dual snorkel for cold air intake. I bought the thing at Auto Zone where all the aftermarket tuner air intake stuff is, and it fit what I was doing. A little pricey but all the pieces, including elbows, clamp together and you can build what you need.
See the black piece attached to the accordion tube...
As for the washer bottle, I believe Tony (Xophertony) used a 4th gen bottle on his six and mounted it in front of the radiator (it fits around the hood latch). |

Chrome is actually a plating of nickle. It will not stick to rubber.
You can mount the 4th gen washer bottle under the nose of a 3rd camaro. Dunno about birds. |

ok..a shiny bottle.
it doesn't have to be rubber.
summit makes an overflow bottle (cylinder) for the radiator that i'm getting, but i'm trying to find something out for the other side. _________________ we all gotta start somewhere.... |
