Ok so I think this year it is time to really put the fire under Z's @SS lol I think I am going to do a complete rethink of my fuel system and change over to either a big shot wet kit or a 2 stage cheater kit. As well as changing out the front tires and all rims for something much lighter! To date I have been toying with the 100-175 shot and I am getting bored with it. I built the motor purpose built for a heavy hit I have just been being nice to it. Time to get nasty soon! I wanna see some 9's this coming season! What do you guys think of this plan? I think that if I went to a progressive controller I will be much better off cause I would like to keep the drag radials since it is fun to say that the car runs those times just as people see it in the parking lot. I am going thru with drawls with nothing broken to fix lol _________________

This is why they call it a sickness folks! When 10's aren't enough
Did you ever run the car at the track with the nitrous Zac? I like the adjustability of the progressive controller myself, especially for testing.

| I was going to use a progressive controller, however, I purchased the Harris speed works Atvantage controller. It does the same thing with about 1/2 the cost. I paid 124.99 for mine. It activates at a min at 20% of the shot and will titrate to 100% over a .1 second up to a full 10 second time period. Harris speed works site is on camaroZ28.com |

Interesting. I can't seem to find that model on their website but sounds like a time activated progressive setup vs the Jacobs mastermind that I use. The Jacobs is RPM referenced and had a few other features built in that made it more attractive (window switch, rev limit with nitrous shutoff and timing retard when the juice is flowing). When I added up the other components to provide the same capability it was a bargain.

Well I have tested at the track with the 100 shot but it just blows the tires off. I know that if I just put a controller on there I would shave off a lot of time but I think I would like to get the other kit just to be sure I can go quicker if wanted (lol I know I know it is never enough!) Sounds like the harris controller would work well since I run a Timing controller anyways from the cockpit and I adjust before the run anyways. I am thinking of a way to get everything activating as I come off of the transbrake maybe a controller would allow that. As it sit right now I set to brake for underneath the window switch but as soon as it comes on there goes the tires. _________________

| I noticed the Atvantage controller is not on the site? I"m not sure what's up with that? You can call Matt, he may be albe to give you more info on the Atvantage. I paid 124$ for mine. As compared to the Jacobs unit, it only controls the N20. I purchased the atvantage because I have a supercharger with a boost retard control dial in my dirvers compartment. Therefore, I don't need the extra features of the Jacobs. And the price @ 124$ was a bargan. I think Harris Speed Works has another unit similar to the Jacobs mastermind..not too sure how it compares as I was looking for the atvantage. |

Well come to think about it I May just go to a full controller since that would also eliminate the timing components of the msd. Also I was looking at the NOS 2 stage mini handheld. Looks like a kinda cool system. The drag car I built here at the shop I ran a jacobs unit and I liked it. ahhh decisions decisions! _________________

That looks kinda cool seems like I could get all the bugs worked out on the dyno before I headed to the track to play with it and it would be nice to have the logger on the laptop! _________________
