I might have one more coming. He sounded like he wanted to put his C-10 on the rollers. _________________

Well, my cuzzen wants to put his 81 Grand Pri on the rollers as well. It has a Pontiac 400 out of a 72 Trans Am, and he wants to put the engine into a third gen bird, but before he does, he wants to know what kind of numbers it will put out.
Its kind of loud and annoying though..... |

Well normally the dyno itself is $60-$65 for three pulls. That is if we get enough people to participate. A typical dyno weekend flows something like this:
- Friday night we meet at a pizza parlor close to the freeway and hang out, bench race and eat while people roll in from out of town. We usually have folks from as far north as B.C. and as far south as Klamath Falls rolling in. Once everyone that we are expecting arrive we will break out to the different houses that people are staying at.
- Saturday morning we show up at the dyno bright and early (most of us hehe) and start the fun. We will normally chip in on some donuts and such.
- After dyno we will pick a place to get some grub and talk about all of the reasons that we didn't make as much power as we should have. If we eat at Hooters then sometimes we forget that part.
- We try to do a local cruise. Paul, John and myself have tentatively planned a route that will be different than any cruises we have done before. There are several options so we will be driving the route prior to dyno to finalize.
- Saturday night is usually the dyno party night. Since there are usually crewbies that are not yet 21 we end up at one of the local Portland/Vancouver members homes, rather than a bar, and kick back, snack, bench race, play video games, etc. etc. etc. Appropriate beverages for all age groups.
-Sunday we normally pick a place to go have breakfast.
After that it depends on the crowd and the year. Some of the long distance folks want to get back on the road after breakfast. Others may decide on another activity or just hang out at one of the locals homes. The real plan for Sunday normally forms on Friday/Saturday. The real fun is just getting to know each other and checking out all the different cars. A close second is cruising in a long line of thirdgen camaros/firebirds.
Hope that helps.

P.S. Holy smoke! Is this number 8? The first one was in 2001 right? |

Sounds like a pretty good time. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to this one. Nothing's for sure yet as I have to wait till the new year to ask for the weekend off. _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S

I've got a mustang possibly showing up. The new owner has a dyno sheet showing 515hp supposedly.. He's wanting to see how close it is to true. No idea what his mods are, all second hand info. I do know he traded an early 70s vette, and a late model ford truck for it though. |
