How are you ever going to afford to move back up here....
Sounds sweet though! I can't wait to see numbers. |

not even that really... got a much better deal on everything than i saw elsewhere, plus I more or less get free re-tuning if I find a drivability problem down the road... the tune itself is worth what I paid, lol |

I see this, and I wonder why I'm wasting my time planning a buildup on a Gen I small block.
Just how tough is it really to do any kind of work on or around those rearmost two cylinders on the 4th gen chassis? _________________

installing the long tubes was cake...
installing the passenger side spark plugs is a bitch on all four, but extremely a bitch on the last two because of the AC and I also have traction control so those lines get in the way.
the valve springs on that side?
lets just say, the rear furthest back took about 35 minutes or so to install the locks, for just one spring, it's certainly not easy, and if those little locks fall somewhere you have to be extremely damn careful |

| there are places that sell carb style intakes, with a 90 degree eblow to mount a throttle body onto for swap engines, comes with its own computer control unit for the injectors and coil packs and everything... pretty nifty... expensive, but nifty |

oh, and a bump... cold start in the AM, right under the tips, haha...
this video went from 89.4mb to 5.45mb... nice drop, haha.

can't wait for dyno vids...
update, now that I've put a few hours on the springs and done more than a few heat cycles...
I've got no bucking problems unless I'm running under 1500rpm in 6th, or if it's still a little cold in 1st creeping through the parking lot... sort of surprises me, but I'm happy about that one
tends to cruise better in certain gears than the stock cam did, for such a large cam in a daily driven car, and given the vague tuning it received, again, it sort of surprised me.
still haven't hammered on it much just yet, but it gets loose quick even on the highway if you goose it ...
I think I'm in love |
