So, in moving the torque arm mount to the x-member, what all has to be accounted for? Can I just pull the stock mount off the trans and weld a bracket to the x-member? Or more realistically a little bit of flat stock to space it away a bit?

That's all I did. Cut the bolts off and welded a piece of angle iron to it with two holes. Then a piece of angle iron to my x-member. Bolt the two together. Works great.

Oh. Put a small gusset about 1/4" diameter from the mount to the tip of the angle iron. Same on the x-member.

I can't seem to find accurate pictures. I'll keep looking. Someone broke my jack so I can't exactly get under my car right now to take new ones.
