Well, got my Z running except the backfires.

I lashed the valves a final time. Then I put engine cleaner on teh engine and now it wont start.

I'm not getting any fuel pressure beyond 20 psi and my fuel pump is not coming on??? WTH? I replaced the fuel pump relay with no change. Is there a fuse around the passengers side or HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP Twisted Evil

since I dont know you that well. What engine?

20psi is high for TBI engine, not even close enough for tpi/mpfi.
How did you set valve lash?
what about timing?

tpi engine. AFR 190 heads, accell 30lb injectors, paxton vr4 supercharger, tes headers....All the goodies.
For some reason, when I washed off the engine degreaser off my motor, yes, it was cold, my Z lost all power to the fuel pump. When I turn the key, I do not hear any noise as the fuel pump is not activating??? WTH???

Mine has a trigger on the oil sending unit that if it doesnt sense oil pressure, its not going to give it fuel. May have knocked that off, or gotten dirt in it to not make contact.

Other then that, start tracing power to it starting at the fuse box, then relay, then back at the pump.

Raiden, do you have any type of aftermarket regulator that helps under boost situations?

Be patient and wait for things to dry out.

Then start going electrical.

Do you get power to the fuel pump relay when you first turn the key on? (while it should be priming)

Yup, I think paul is on the right track there. The DVOM will be your friend on this one. Start tracing back and checking voltage, you should be able to locate where you are losing power.

If you do have power at the relay, and it engergizes, and you get power going out. Next I would check voltage back near the tank. You'll just have to just follow the electrical path, and see where you lose power.

Fuse should be near the battery in a weatherpack clip screwed to the fender.

I changed the fuel filter and no change. A few months ago, my fusible link had to be replaced, the one that goes to the fuse that will shut down the fuel pump. I had to re-route the orange fusible link and I did. Worked fine. Now, the fusible link burnned out. I found the short on the oragnge wire and the problem! Purrzz like a kitten. I still gotta fix my exhaust leak, put my dash in and shine her up.........When ever I get time Sad

thank you guys all for the help! you guyz are great!
