Sorry, it just made me laugh, and it was a slow day on here today.

*feels very sad and stupid now*

ROFL! this is silly. I like when he explained turbo lag as something built in to help you gain traction at lower speeds. hehehehe

"...I didn't even have to go look that up cuz I knew it offhand cuz I know how turbos work FFS"

best line ever! sounds like an elementary school playground fight

it sounds like it would be a good idea.... unfortunately you need a big ass electric motor to power the turbo, and big ass electric motors are heavy. plus then you have no turbo spool, you just have solid boost, WAY harder to tune (i think).

i know it's a close-minded way of thinking, but if it were THAT great of an idea, i am sure honda would have done it and built a "vtech" style marketing campaign around it by now.

shizzle... i just realized they drive mercury cougars, what a bunch of douche bags...

You wouldn't be able to properly power an electric motor large enough to create positive pressure without serious electrical modifications like some of those stragith electric drag cars with crazy cells.

Once the gas has left the engine, it's just energy waiting to be harvested.

I've seen a real electric supercharger. It was a centrifugal charger that ran on 48Vdc IIRC. Had 1/0 cable and a 4 large batteries in the trunk. It worked, proved the concept, but was way to cumbersome to be practical.

Its here
